Hello Bikes!

The day after thanksgiving (or thankskilling) is normally celebrated as a day to shop till you drop and increase your debt two fold.

In recent years there has been a push by more radical groups to do a "but nothing day" that day and protest the gross over consumption of the western world.

As it seems, November has 5 fridays, as opposed to 4, this means that there is no regularly planned Critical Mass Rides, So we are organizing one for BUY NOTHING DAY!.

We choose emeryville for several reasons: Most of what emeryville is built on (especially Bay Street) is an old indian burial ground (with 13 bodies just under Victoria's Secret). Emeryville is also a shopping hub for most of the east bay, and i assure you it will be crowded.

We are meeting up at 4pm, Leaving shortly after at Macarthur bart.

YOU ARE ON OHLONE LAND!

I got there by bus about 90 minutes late and no riders in Emeryville, but on the bridge on 40th leading in seveal police cars and trucks and a few bikes with signs "just keep on riding". I walked back up to the bridge from Emeryville but all clear by then.
