Letter to Sentinel editor
Letter promising a well-organized boycott of the Santa Cruz Sentinel if any other racist letters are printed
Why would the Sentinel publish such racist letters like the one from Yvonne Pea titled "E-coli from human waste?"
It claims the E-coli on spinach had to be from human waste because public defecation, urination, and indecency are "the hygiene habits of illegal aliens and other fieldworkers [and] are part of their culture." Excuse me, exactly WHAT "illegal aliens" is she talking about? Surely not Europeans who probably look just like you (Mr. Editor) and her. She then goes on to say her husband saw a "latino girl" defecating on the side of the road, and therefore it's part of our culture to be indecent pigs. If I would generalize, I would say all white people were rapists and lazy.
Stop printing these outrageous letters, Sentinel, unless you would like a very well organized boycott of your newspaper. That is not a threat, it's a promise.
