In "To Mifune," choreographer Christy Funsch teams up with hip-hop dancer Skorpio and female DJ Deeandroid to tell the story of a cowgirl's journey to meet her Samurai idol, inspired by the films of Akira Kurosowa. Isak Immanuel's "Illegal Echo" explores 'outsider dance' through a collaboration with local homeless youth, vocalist Odessa Chen, composer Kanoko Nishi and photojournalist Robert L. Terrell.
