BREAD You learn something new everyday!!
This was interesting. I looked in the grocery store and the bread wrappers do have different colored twist ties, and even the ones with the plastic clips have different colors.
When you go to buy bread in the grocery store, have you ever wondered which is the freshest, so you "squeeze" for freshness or softness?
Did you know that bread is delivered fresh to the stores five days a week? Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
And each day has a different color twist tie. They are:
Monday - Blue
Tuesday - Green
Thursday - Red
Friday - White
Saturday - Yellow
The colors go alphabetically by color Blue - Green - Red -White -Yellow, Monday thru Saturday. Very easy to remember. But I put a post-it note in my wallet when I first found out about this so I would not forget.

JESSICA BRUDER
talk & booksigning for Burning Book: A Visual History of Burning Man
Friday, August 3 at 7 pm
It all began when a pair of friends burned an eight-foot-tall effigy on Baker Beach in front of an impromptu audience of twenty. Two decades later, Burning Man has evolved into an annual extravaganza dedicated to self-reliance and self-expression that attracts nearly forty thousand people. Jessica Bruder's Burning Book: A Visual History of Burning Man (hardback, $28.95) - illustrated with more than three hundred stunning photographs - is both a commemoration of the event's storied history and an enlightening companion for festivalgoers.
Jessica Bruder is a journalist who has written for the New York Times and Washington Post. She now writes for the Portland Oregonian.

Join us for an International Day of Action in support of Tibet! We will meet 8/8 at 11 am at the Civic Center BART station to march to City Hall and then onto the Chinese Consulate at Geary and Laguna. China is using the Olympics to try and legitimize their cruel, military occupation of Tibet and San Francisco is the only city in North America to host the torch on its massively televised trip around the world. The mayor has said "human rights are irrelevant" to the Games and we will bring banners, stilts and other antics into the streets to tell him otherwise! Please join us and the people around the world who will be standing up around the world against the cultural genocide taking place in Tibet!

8/1: Make your own Dread Extensions Workshop Wed Aug 1st 7-10:30PM
http://sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/cls/384527224.html El Sobrante
Fabulous Hair for Burning Man and Beyond..
All you girls and guys that are looking for a fabulous new look for the Playa this
year, this is the class for you.
Custom make your own fantastic Dread Extensions and Dread Falls in this one night
intensive workshop!
Next Wednesday, August 1st from 7-10:30PM, Lovely Lady Lynn will be teaching a workshop
in how to make dread extensions.
Her Technique is for double ended silky style dreads that can be braided or threaded
into your hair, or made into dread falls (a temporary hair piece that ties to a
bun on your head)
In this fun intensive one night workshop:
***You will learn techniques for making the dreads,
***You will learn techniques for making them into falls
***You will learn techniques for braiding and threading them into hair
***You will leave with the skills to teach others to make dreads
***You will leave with approximately 6-10 dreads already made
This will also be a great opportunity to find a partner to trade putting in each
others extensions. Professional braiding specialist Yaminah will also be available
to provide braiding services for you.
Check out some photos on flickr to get an idea of what they can look like.
http://www.flickr.com/gp/47649508@N00/g2w72R
What you need to bring:
1. An electric teapot - it should have a lid so that steam only comes out of the
spout. And If it has an auto shut off (most do) try and figure out a way to override
it (tape or string or something) because you want it to be able to keep boiling
and releasing steam.
2. At least 1 package of Kanekalon Hair (from any local beauty supply)
(One package makes about 10 dreads and it takes about 60-80 to do a whole head)
3. A towel or two (kitchen size is ok)
4. (Optional, but quite helpful) a small pair of needle nose pliers (these are used
to hold the small ends of the dreads near the steamer so you don't get burned
by the steam)
****Class size is limited so make sure to RSVP early.
Cost $40 per participant
or $35 per person for two people signing up together
Date/Time: Wednesday August 1st 7-10:30PM
Location: 817 Bridgeway Circle El Sobrante CA 94803 - just 15 minutes from the Bay

There are lots of "maybe" claims that might or might not be true, but the "no plane" stuff is proven not to be true, even if a lot of people who still promote it are sincere.

deliberately suppressed warnings, interference with the

Sat Aug 25: Really Really Free Market Noon-Dusk Dolores Park
A Really Really Free Market is like a potluck for whatever you want to give or take away. Have you ever brought one dish to a potluck and gone away with a full belly and a balanced meal? Everybody brings something and goes away with more.
We all have skills, ideas, objects, smiles, talents, friendship, excitement, discussions, and many other things to share. If we bring them all together at the Really Really Free Market, we can provide more balanced and full lives for everyone. As a community we have many more resources than we do as individuals. If we share our resources we won't need to buy as many new ones. This uses fewer of the Earth's resources, and fewer of our working hours, leaving us more time to devote to ourselves and our communities. Would we all work forty hours a week at one job if we didn't feel we had to? What if instead we worked at improving our individual skills and talents and shared them with each other? We would all spend more time doing things we enjoyed. The Really Really Free Market is an attempt to put these ideas into practice for four hours every month and then spread the seeds everywhere - share, share, share.
Please help us keep the Really Really Free Market a 100% FREE and non-commercial event. Once a month, let's come together and forget about trading, bartering and money. Leave the business cards at home and remember the joy of giving for the sake of giving. Help us keep Art SF clean. If no one takes what you brought, please bring it home with you.

Dark Side Of The Moon Poetry Slam and Pink Ffloyd Pajama Party Monday, 10 pm to 5 am
Come out, come out and express your wildly creative muse with Silicon Village for a poetry slam, dance party and lunar ritual in celebration of the full lunar eclipse. Gather at the HotD stage and Coyote Bar on the Silicon Village Plaza at 10 pm to wax poetic. At midnight we gather on art cars and bikes in front of the SV Archway for a convoy to the trash fence, where we'll hook up with the Playa-wide dance party. Noise permitting, we break at the apex of the eclipse for a moon celebration and ritual, led by the Temple of All Gods. Wear your pajamas to bounce and boogie on our furry air-mattresses.
