In solidarity with Cindy Sheehan, Ray McGovern and the rest who were arrested on July 23rd, 2007 in "Representative" John Conyer's office in DC, several folks gathered in Campbell, CA in the office of "Representative" Mike Honda (D-Corporate).

We spoke with Mari Maben, Honda's District Chief of Staff, and asked her to convey our demand that Bush/Cheney be impeached to Honda.

A similar action happened later in the day at the office of "Representative" Zoe Lofgren (D-Corporate) on North First St. in San Jose, CA.

Check out McGovern's article about the meeting with Conyer's at:

§Photo from Zoe Lofgren Office Action
by John Thielking ( pagesincolor [at] aol.com ) Tuesday Jul 24th, 2007 4:32 PM

Six of us in total showed up at Zoe Lofgren's office, from 4PM-6PM. We had just one sign, but we had 6 matching orange shirts. We went into the office briefly, but there was only one male receptionist in the office. We left our messages of concern with him. The office was advertised to be open until 6PM, but the man came out at 5:30PM to close the gate.

One of us noticed that Lofgren's office was located next to George St and had a nice Bush out in front and started taking pictures. We speculated about when it was that Lofgren first set up her office in that location. Was it when George Bush Sr. came into office? Later I was reminded by another activist that her office is also located next to Jackson St.

Her position on impeachment is that it would not be appropriate to impeach George Bush or Dick Cheney. There are not enough specific crimes, in her view.
