Honeybees are crucial to our agricultural industry, pollinating up to one third of our food crops. In the past few years, bees have been disappearing in large numbers without many answers. Why are the bees disappearing? How will it affect our food supply? How will the role of bees and beekeepers evolve in the 21st Century?
Timothy will highlight the amazing efficiency and organization with which bees sustain themselves and our local flora while answering these questions.
At "Down to a Science", you don't need a science background. Just bring your curiosity and a desire to have fun!

Roaming Hookerfest: Outdoor Video Projection Roaming the Streets of San Francisco
The Roaming Hookerfest is a traveling outdoor caravan of sex workers
bringing the films to the street. This first-ever Roaming Hookerfest
was developed by Festival co-director, Erica Berman (AKA Fabulous).
Fabulous wanted the festival to reach out past the usual crowds so
she created this guerilla art event. On Friday night of the festival
we will be driving a movie van with films and safer sex materials to
alleyways throughout San Francisco. We will be showing a half hour of
excerpts and short films highlighting the festival. We will post the

SEX ON WHEELS:Bike Tour/Street Theater traces Sex-Worker History
San Francisco is home to the most politically active community of sex workers in the world, having given rise to C.O.Y.O.T.E., the Sex Worker's Outreach Project, The St. James Infirmary, and the Lusty Lady Co-op. Sex on Wheels is a bicycle tour that traces the cultural history of this community of gold-diggin', ass-whuppin', shit-startin' sex workers, from the Gold Rush of 1848 to the present day.
This year's tour, co-presented by the Sex Worker's Film and Arts Festival and the SF Bike Coalition, features live, costumed docents representing such characters as Chilean and Chinese prostitutes of the gold rush period, queer street youth activists from the 1960s, a hooker/female supremacist/would-be assassin, and the strippers of today's Lusty Lady. Think Colonial Williamsburg - but with whores!
