Fluoride now a curse? ADA warning - babies
http://www.sptimes.com/2007/06/04/Tampabay/Fluoride__a_longtime_.shtml
http://flouridealert.org http://nofluoride.com

4 main arguments against water fluoridation:

http://nofluoride.com

Any purported benefits of fluoridation are in scientific controversy. Studies from 50 years ago do not pass muster under today's standards for safety or effectiveness. Research from the same era also "proved" cigarettes don't cause cancer.
http://nofluoride.com/cigarettes.htm

Even the AMA concedes that no studies were done to determine any side effects caused by fluoridation. [letter]
http://nofluoride.com/presentations/AMA_letter.pdf

The fluoride used for water fluoridation does not have FDA approval and is considered by the FDA as an "unapproved drug". The proper use of any drug requires an understanding of how much is too much. Since fluoride is already in many foods and beverages, an estimated total intake of existing fluoride amounts is imperative. Research shows fluoridation is unnecessary since we're already receiving 300% or more of the American Dental Association's recommended daily amount.

Constitutional and Civil liberty issues regarding the forced mass medication of the population when alternative means of reducing cavities are easily available, such as tooth brushing. Even so-called mandatory school immunizations provide exemptions for parents who wish not to participate.

The chemicals used for fluoridation are not high
purity, pharmaceutical quality products. Rather they are byproducts of aluminum and fertilizer manufacturing and contain a high concentration of toxins and heavy metals such as arsenic, lead and chromium. All proven to be carcinogens.

Critical Mass Bike Ride June 8th; Int'l Day of Action Against Climate Change & the G8
Please forward widely!!!!!
Int'l Day of Action/Solidarity with Germany Critical Mass Bike Ride
Against Climate Change & the G8.
A Better World is Possible! A Better US is Necessary! Flood the Streets
before the Sea Does!
5:30 Friday June 8, 2007
Justin Herman Plaza
(foot of Market St./Emarcadero BART)
5:30: Gather and Bike Decorating, 6pm Ride
Use pedal power to challenge oil addiction, to show solidarity with
anti-G8 mass mobilizations in Germany and resist the polluting economic
and political system of the G8. As the megalomaniac G8 leaders meet in
police-state Germany, behind fences, cops and soldiers, intent on
leading us further towards catastrophic and irreversible climate chaos,
we must shout, scream and roar 'no more'. Take action to challenge the
fossil fuelled madness of the G8 governments and their oil addicted
corporate buddies. Actions targeting the root causes of climate change
are planned in other G8 countries and around the world on this day.
We know the terrifying statistics: a million species extinct by 2050, 19
of the 20 hottest years on record since 1980, Greenland and Antarctica
melting, droughts, floods, famines ... the G8 have met for over 30 years
to further a global system that is destroying our planet and our future
while they line their pockets, and at the same time stage fake public
relations promises to confuse us. This global system is at the root of
our ecological and social problems; lack of heath care, housing and
education, war, more prisons, the rich getting richer, low wages and
lousy jobs, pollution, and attacks on immigrant, worker and civil
rights. Meanwhile, island countries disappear and hundreds of thousands
die as a result of the freak weather conditions caused by their
irrational and uncontrollable obsession with never ending economic
growth.
June 8 International Day of Action Against Climate Change and the G8 has
been called by the International Rising Tide Network.
