Silver was born and raised in SF and has been a bike messenger since 1991. His photography is often featured in Hamburger Eyes and has been in many publications from Tokion to Nylon (issue out now). He has also been a part of numerous gallery shows across the U.S. and in Europe and Japan. Aside from the art world, Silver has been an icon in underground street art putting out some of the seminal 'zines to come from the bay area over the last 15 years. Recently Silver lost a lifetimes worth of photos, art, and an immense collection of lovable nonsense to fire. He is also facing a difficult reentry into society having no bike, camera or savings. Featured artists will include Mike Giant, Tahiti, UFO, Sam Flores, Oze 108, Doyle, ReLoad Bags, and many, many famous and incredible artists. 9pm-2am. $5 donation. wed may 23 Wed, May 23, 7-8:30 pm Teleosis Institute 1521B 5th St Berkeley Don’t Medicate Your Bay: Prevent Pollution, Dispose Drugs Safely http://globalexchange.org/getInvolved/bayarea.php Dorkbot SF Wednesday, May 23, 2007 7:30 PM The Porn Palace 415 Jessie St 94102 37.7829, -122.407 to cap off this weekend's craziness and take advantage of maker faire folks in town being here to party with us, and due to popular request, we're doing an impromptu dorkbot this wed.! I think conservatism is really a misnomer just as liberalism is a misnomer for the liberals -- if we were back in the days of the Revolution, so-called conservatives today would be the Liberals and the liberals would be the Tories. The basis of conservatism is a desire for less government interference or less centralized authority or more individual freedom and this is a pretty general description also of what libertarianism is." -- Ronald Reagan (1911-2004) 40th US President Source: Reason Magazine, Jul. 1, 1975 http://quotes.liberty-tree.ca/quote_blog/Ronald.Reagan.Quote.40C9 = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = WHAT DO YOU THINK?
