Honorees will include:
Anna Deavere Smith, the renowned actress, playwright, teacher and author, for her portrayal of racial tension and its effect on society. Her one-woman show Twilight: Los Angeles, about the 1992 Los Angeles riots, received two Tony nominations. She is also well known for her role on The West Wing as the National Security Advisor.
The Fox and Robertson Law Firm of Denver, Colorado, for their passion and dedication for disability civil rights. The ground-breaking work of Tim Fox and Amy Robertson is most recently reflected in a nation-wide settlement against KMart, the biggest disability access case to date.
Sponsorships are available from $350 to $10,000. Regular tickets are $125 per person, and nonprofits are $35 per person.
