Author Event: "How to Shop Consciously: The Better World Shopping Guide"

One of the Ecology Center's most popular authors, Dr. Ellis Jones will
join us to discuss socially and environmentally responsible
consumerism. Dr. Jones has followed his popular "The Better World
Handbook" with an organized, highly useful guide that grades every
product on the shelf from 'A' to 'F'. His pocket-sized "Better World
Shopping Guide" is the culmination of 15 years of research, in which
Dr. Jones compiled a database of every reliable source of information
available on corporate behavior and synthesized the information into a
single report card for every company. "The Better World Shopping Guide"
includes a summary of essential information about particular product
categories, profiles of the best and worst companies, practical buying
tips, and online resources. Small enough to fit in a back pocket and
organized in a shopping-friendly format, this book is designed to shop
with you! Dr. Jones is a Professor of Sociology at UC Davis and the
founder of the Better World Network.
