Come take this free class hosted by the Alameda County Lead Poisoning Prevention Program. Did you know that many older buildings in Alameda County contain lead-based paint under the surface layers and when the paint peels or is disturbed during renovations, children and workers can become lead poisoned? To better protect yourself and your children from lead poisoning, Alameda County is sponsoring this class, which will teach property owners how to detect and remedy lead hazards in the home. This class is taught by expert staff and will offer simple solutions to property owners on how to safely repaint and remodel their homes.
