San Francisco CODEPINK has been camped outside of Cong. Nancy Pelosi's house since
this weekend, when we created "Camp Pelosi" to encourage the Speaker to be a leader
and stop funding Bush's war. We hope to keep this vigil going until the vote on the
war funds sometime next week. Click here to read an article about Camp Pelosi from
ABC news. Right now the small group needs your support, people to relieve them for
an hour break, people to bring food (wine and cheese appreciated!), umbrellas for
shade, more people to stay overnight, music and encouragement.

The vigil is at Pelosi's house at 2640 Broadway (between Scott & Divisadero) in San
Francisco. Call (415) 260-1120 to reach activists Leslie and Toby at the camp.

Help us keep Camp Pelosi going day and night until Congress votes on the funding!
Join us for an hour or a night!

Plus, come to the teach-in at Pelosi's office on Wednesday (3/14):

resolutions and do all they can to bring home our troops and cut off the money for
war.

event on Saturday, March 17, 11 a.m., to promote the cause of peace. The march will
assemble in the Walnut Creek BART parking lot, and proceed through downtown and on
to Civic Park (Civic Drive and Broadway) for a rally at noon featuring speakers and
music. Thousands here in the East Bay will be joining peace advocates across the
country in a national demonstration to protest the Iraq war.

On March 17, 2007, the 4th anniversary of the start of the criminal invasion of
Iraq, tens of thousands of people from around the country will descend on the
Pentagon in Washington DC — on March 18 we will march in San Francisco — in a mass
demonstration to demand: U.S. Out of Iraq Now! 2007 is the 40th anniversary of the
historic 1967 anti-war march to the Pentagon during the Vietnam War. The message of
the 1967 march was "From Protest to Resistance," and marked a turning point in the

DIE-IN on Market Street
Monday March 19, 2007 12noon-1:00 p.m.
San Francisco, CA

On March 20, 2003, the outraged residents of San Francisco shut the city down when
the Bush administration started his administration's war in Iraq. Monday, March 19,
2007 marks four years since the war in Iraq began, after four years, 650,000 Iraqi
civilians have died.

Can you be downtown for just an hour on Monday March 19th? Please join us in making
visible the profound and awful human cost of the war.

On March 19, 2007 you can:
* Wear all black or wear a black armband
* Put a Bring the Troops Home Now sign in the window of your home or car
* Come to the DIE-IN on Market Street at 12:00 noon to show what it would look like
if downtown San Francisco was filled with dead bodies. There are four meet-up
points, see http://www.DieInMarch19.org for details.

Can't be in SF then? Organize a die-in wherever you work or live, wear black, and/or
put up a Bring the Troops Home Now sign.

Don't want to die-in? Please come out to Market Street, wearing black or a black
armband, and hold a sign showing your opposition to the war.
