Climate - We have much less time to act than we thought.
by Bill Tregea
“The climate crisis is bearing down on us much
faster than most people realize.” McKibben said.
Changes we make in our homes, cars, fuels and
buildings....vital as they are, can’t deliver the speed
or magnitude of change.....but we also need to
change laws.
These conclusions indicate the need for extremely
aggressive legislation to cap carbon emissions as
soon as possible. We have much less time to act
than we thought.
Bill McKibben (stepitup2007.org) is organizing the April 14
rallies. McKibben wrote the first book on global warming in
1989.
