Join the Women’s Studies student organization P.O.W.E.R. (People Organized for Women's Empowerment and Representation) and the Femicide Action Committee for a night of education, networking, refreshments, and fundraising. This International Women's Day event will give you and oppurtunity to help women working in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico where hundreds of women have been systematically murdered. The police have done nothing to stop the femicide there, but P.O.W.E.R. and F.A.C. are stepping up. We are raising money to bring an advocate to Fresno State to recieve a victim's services certification for the crim department. The price is $15 on a sliding scale.
