Tuesday at Mighty 6:30-11pm |
Benefit for our employee Misty whose house burned down last week
http://sanfrancisco.tribe.net/event/dbcbd17f-2ca6-487d-9867-1858a0430f88
2007-02-06 6:30 PM Dear Friends and Family of Mighty,

Last week Mighty's bighearted employee Misty Monchek had a horrible tragedy
occur - she fled her house in SF while it was going up in flames and escaped
with nothing else but her license, her dog, and the clothes on her back. She
lost everything - computer, clothes, sentimental things, even her cat of 15
years. She did not have renter's insurance.

Many of you know Misty as the rock behind the bar at the Endup, and now know
her as the rock behind Mighty's bar. We are inviting all of our family and
friends to come to Mighty this Tuesday February 6th from 6:30pm-11pm to help
her get back on her feet.

All donations at the door and the bar will be matched by Mighty. Thomas
John Events donating food for the event. Their catering is second to none in
the Bay Area. DJs Seven, Soren, Michael May, and Chris McDonnell will be
serving up the beats.

Please pass this along to any other friends and family.

Good things happen to good people. Let's show Misty the truth to this.

Description
Wells Fargo invests millions of dollars in rogue coal companies engaged in the wholesale decimation of Appalachian communities and ecosystems through the reckless mining practice known as mountaintop removal. Instead of financing clean, sustainable energy sources for the 21st century, Wells Fargo is bankrolling 19th century operations that produce electricity in the most polluting, most destructive ways possible.

Join us at Station 40 in San Francisco for a free screening of the incredible documentary, "Black Diamonds; Mountain Top Removal and the Fight for Coalfield Justice" (http://www.blackdiamondsmovie.com/).

March 3 - Burning Man's Flambé Lounge Burning Equinox (Still in planning stage - details will be announced when set)

Save the Date for Solstinox - March 3, 2007
Do you all remember that one night of the year we are farthest from the Man, yet equally distant from two encounters with his flames?
Do you all remember the intense playa energy this planetary alignment generates, and how hard it kicks us into the season of Man?
It’s coming back. Soon!
This year, it will be at Mighty in SF. It will be mighty big. The events committee that puts on SF Decom will make it happen. And it will be a fundraiser for Black Rock Arts Foundation. This year, the vision we created in 04 is all coming together!
That special night of the year our spirits named Solstinox is coming back March 3. If you don’t save the date, you must not remember…
I can’t wait to dance with your playa souls again when the planets align. Sunshine
