Why we came to protest in San Francisco today Part 3

by Robert B. Livingston (gruaudemais [at] yahoo.com)
People from many walks of life came to San Francisco today to protest the plan to send more troops to Iraq.

Many believe that an escalation of troops will only add to the mayhem in the Middle East, not lessen it.

Congress should honor their demand that our troops come home.

Here are some extra photos I took today.

The Iraq War alone has cost Americans over 321 billion dollars to date-- almost 2 billion dollars per week... and for what?
Imgine what productive things could be done with that money:

Recently a video circulated on the internet of a crippled dog being cruelly treated by soldiers in Iraq. What values do we teach the young when war profiteers command our government?
