South Bay | Anti-WarNo Troop Escalation! Bring Our Troops Home Now!
Yesterday's (Jan. 11, 2007) NO TROOP ESCALATION! BRING OUR TROOPS HOME NOW! protest at Yesterday's (Jan. 11, 2007) NO TROOP ESCALATION! BRING OUR TROOPS HOME NOW! protest at
Stevens Creek Blvd. & Winchester Blvd. In San Jose was a big success! There were 100 people from our community that made time in their schedule to make a statement on the street that we oppose the NeoCon Troop Escalation, and that we continue to reject the failed Foreign and Domestic Policies of the Bush Administration and ALL of their political partners in Congress. There were a huge number of people from the MoveOn and True majority network where this protest was widely publicized. Several people said they had seen the ongoing 3yr/10mo protest there every weekend. The support from the community was GREAT! Many times the car honking was deafening! There was alot of enthusiasm from people in cars passing by who gave us the Peace sign, waved, smiled, and said "IMPEACH BUSH!". This is all of our opportunity to grow and expand the Peace movement in our community. A wideranging gathering of people to make our voices heard. As the Bush NeoCons plan to expand the Iraq Occupation and their assault on people of other nations, we will remain committed to the struggle of mobilizing our community, and united with national actions to bring a halt to the the ideas of the NeoCons and work toward developing true Democracy in America! Thanks to MoveOn and True Majority for utilizing their network to help coordinate the protest nationally, and South Bay Mobilization for continuing to play a leading role in community action. And a big THANKS to everyone who came out and made a stand in our community against Troop Escalation and the failed policies of the Bush NeoCons. Let's keep the momentum going! Protest on the corner of Stevens Creek & Winchester, every Sat/Sun, 11:30am-2pm! |
