(12-20) 19:22 PST -- A magnitude 3.7 quake with an epicenter in Berkeley rocked the Bay Area at 7:12 p.m.

BART stopped all trains as a precaution to check the tracks. Calls poured into fire stations from people in the East Bay reporting that they felt a strong jolt. People in San Francisco described the quake as a jolt or as a wave sensation.
