"Strategic Questioning" — A fun approach to creating personal & social change in business, non-profits and everyday life

This workshop presents a rare opportunity to connect with Fran Peavey, an internationally renowned community social change worker. Fran Peavey is author of the Heart Politics, the Heart Politics Revisited and By Life's Grace: Musings on the Essence of Social Change.

Cost: $65 (includes vegetarian lunch and cost of the book "Strategic Questioning"). You are requested to read the entire book before the workshop (it's a small book!).

********
In these days of constant change, and the need for even more change if we are to live peacefully in a healthy environment, we ask ourselves: "How can our organization weather the tides of constant reorganization and restructuring and still maintain a clear vision of its mission?" "How can I make decisions about my future that will draw from the most interesting alternatives?" "How can we participate in the creation of social change?" "How can a new vision arise in our organizations and societies?" I have been working on the concept of strategic questioning as a way of facilitating "dynamic" listening. I also call this an experiment in the developing field of communication theory, "communication of the second kind," since it is a special kind of communication. It creates new information and uncovers deep desires of the heart rather than communicating information already known. – Fran Peavey
