Sunday 12/10 Party and Benefit for Int'l Solidarity Movement & Haiti Action Ctte.
by Aaron Aarons
Sunday Dec 10th, 2006 5:24 AM
There will be a party tonight, Sunday, at the Berkeley Fellowship of Unitarian Universalists, 1924 Cedar @ Bonita. It is a potluck and a fund-raiser for both the Haiti Action Committe (HAC) and the International Solidarity Movement (with Palestine) (ISM).
Since I promised to post this but don't have full information, I'm posting it here so that updated information can be added as comments. (Calendar entries currently cannot be changed without the intervention of indybay staffers!)

The party/potluck will go from about 5:30 to 9 pm. A modest donation will be requested, although nobody will be turned away for lack of funds. There will be songs by Country Joe MacDonald as well as reports by representatives of HAC and ISM.

If I recall correctly, the occasion for this party is Cynthia Johnson's birthday. Cynthia, a leading member of the Unitarian Fellowship's Social Action Committee, is one of the Bay Area's more dedicated activists, and wants to use her birthday to help two of her favorite causes.

If I left out any important detail of got anything wrong, I or somebody else will correct it by this afternoon. If you have any specific question, you can post it as a comment.
