WHERE: Oakland International Airport out front between Terminals 1 & 2

Passenger service workers at Terminal 2 (the Southwest Airlines Terminal) of the Oakland International Airport have been organizing to join SEIU Local 1877 for several months, but their employer is refusing to recognize the union via a card-check neutrality agreement. The workers began actively organizing a union in May, after a new company called Aviation Safeguards took over as their employer. Aviation Safeguards is subcontracted by Southwest Airlines to provide passenger services such as curbside check-in, wheelchair assistance, passenger pre-screening, and baggage handling.

Support Aviation Safeguards workers in their fight for fairness, respect, job security, a voice and their right to form a union at the Oakland Airport.
