the info below came from the day of silence website. the "official" trans day of remembrance site looks like it hasn't been updated this year Transgender Day of Remembrance - November 20, 2006 Organizing Week: November 13-17, 2006 GLSEN has is a proud supporter of Gender Education & Advocacy’s (GEA) Transgender Day of Remembrance, encouraging students and student clubs to remember and educate communities about ending violence based on gender identity/expression. Partnering for the third year, GLSEN encourages students to organize Transgender Day of Remembrance events that are spaces for discussions about the need to protect students against discrimination and harassment based on gender identity/expression.
