Castroween 2007 needs more lights, more dance music

Does Castroween need improvement?
Yes.
Is the answer what we tried in 2006 --
more cops, less entertainment, and
trying to close early?
Apparently not.


Bringing in 800 cops must have cost a huge amount
in overtime pay,
yet they couldn't even catch the man
who publicly shot several people.

That money could have been better spent on LIGHTS and
webcams,
to make costumes (and thugs) more visible.
And on DANCE MUSIC,
to provide a healthy outlet for
youthful energy.


Good news:
We WILL have an extra hour of
sunlight on 31 Octover 2007, and in following years
-- because the Daylight Savings Time season is being
lengthened.
