Dustin Costa Update -- Trial postponed until Tuesday 11/14

Hi all,

Apparently, Dustin Costa was brought into the courtroom today for jury
selection in leg shackles. Federal case law has ruled that bringing a
prisoner before a jury in shackles unduly influences that jury.
Therefore, Costa's attorney objected and moved for mistrial. The judge
granted the mistrial, and rescheduled jury selection for Tuesday,
November 14 at 9am. It is likely that opening arguments will happen that
afternoon.

Please spread the word that Dustin Costa will not be going to trial
tomorrow (Wednesday, November 8), but instead will resume his trial on
Tuesday, November 14 at 9am. Please consider attending the trial next
Tuesday and Wednesday before Judge Ishii at the federal courthouse in
Fresno (2500 Tulare Street).
