Lt. Governor Candidates Wants Free Education By 2009
The plan Alexander is presenting will unfold over the next three years; first, students will receive a 35 percent reduction in college tuition fees by 2007, by 2008 students will receive an additional 20 percent reduction on fees, and by 2009 all state colleges and universities will offer free education.

Today more students are giving up hopes on completing high school or attempting to obtain a college education because of the high cost of going to college. Now Stewart Alexander, candidate for California Lieutenant Governor, says he will bring back free college education by the year 2009.
Less than 55% of California students are going to college after graduating from high school because today going to college in California is a major financial burden. Many college students must work long hours or work full time to pay tuition fees and loans, and sometimes it is unfortunate that they must sacrifice a good education to meet expenses.
Stewart Alexander is a candidate for the Peace and Freedom Party and he says, “I want students to be thinking about getting good grades and a good education rather than working long hours to pay for college.”

Alexander says, “It is unfortunate that our state leaders have the wrong priorities, choosing to lockup a prisoner for millions of dollars, or to invest over $200 million on each death row prisoner; and will not give our kids a free education. Without an education we are preparing many of our youths for prison.”
Alexander’s plan to offer students a free education through university level is backed by the Peace and Freedom Party and the party advocates preparing our kids for college during the early years of elementary school.
Alexander says, “Starting in 2007 we will bring free education back to California; all our students need is a leader and a party that is on their side.”
