Convene at McD's on Mission St & Laurent St at 2:45 PM.
(Be there a tad early or you'll miss this short and sweet action–starts at 3pm.)
We'll rally, make some noise, and deliver a letter in solidarity with the farmworker struggle to the McD's manager.
Nothin' more powerful than their target market (youth 18-24) saying loud: "Worker's rights just make you groan? You want tomatoes? Pick your own!"
check out this 4 min video: Melody González of SFA spells it out during the march on McD's in Chicago (home to the HQ) this spring.

CIW demands of McD's:
* Pay a penny more per pound for the tomatoes that McDonald’s purchases and ensure that this
increase is passed along to tomato pickers in the form of increased wages,
* Work with the CIW to implement an enforceable code of conduct to ensure fair and safe working
conditions for farmworkers in McDonald’s tomato supply chain.
Taco Bell victory, what next? McDonald's!

Making Fast Food > FAIR food
'Student/Famworker Alliance' is a national network of youth and students organizing in solidarity with farmworkers to eliminate sweatshop conditions and modern-day slavery in the fields. We work in partnership with the Coalition of Immokalee Workers, a membership-led organization of mostly Latino, Haitian, and Mayan Indian low-wage immigrant workers in Southwest Florida. Together we won the Taco Bell Boycott in 2005.
