Celebrate Fair Trade Month and Help Free Mumia Abu-Jamal

There will be a potluck celebration, speakers, discussion and video showing about Fair Trade and Mumia Abu-Jamal at the upstairs gallery behind the Pagesincolor.com retail store at 888 E Santa Clara St, San Jose, CA on Sunday October 15, 2006 from 12PM-6PM.

The schedule includes the following:
12PM-2:00 PM Food, ice cream, fair trade Reggae music in African Languages, Mumia's commentaries in English and Lori Berenson’s commentaries in both English and Spanish. To download these commentaries visit http://www.prisonradio.org .
2:00-2:10 PM Fair Trade Video DVD
2:10-2:25 PM John Thielking and Donna Wallach on Fair Trade and Mumia
2:25-2:40 PM Videos: Status of Mumia's case after the suspension of the death sentence by Judge Yohn in 2001 and Arnold Beverly Confession.
2:40-3:30 PM Howard Keylor from the Labor Action Committee to Free Mumia Abu-Jamal and possible speakers from Partisan Defense Committee and/or Curly.

Note that if you park in Roosevelt Park parking lot you will need to move your car after 7PM. (The park closes at sunset).

No Alcohol at this event please. Kids under 5 should stay downstairs. There are fair trade toys to play with downstairs.

Directions: From hwy 101 just South of the 880 interchange, exit at the Santa Clara St/Alum Rock exit. Go West on E Santa Clara St to 19th st.
