Iraq Death Toll Reaches 655,000

Dr. Gilbert Burnham, of the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, has led a survey estimating 655,000 Iraqi deaths as a result of the 2003 U.S. invasion and occupation of Iraq. The methods used in this study make this the most accurate and up to date estimate of the war dead in Iraq.

“Iraq Body Count” Gives Numbers That Are Wrong

“Iraq Body Count” is not an actual body count, but relies on deaths reported in the corporate media. Since most of the deaths in Iraq are civilian deaths that never get reported by the corporate media, “Iraq Body Count” gives an extremely low and inaccurate number for the war dead. “Iraq Body Count” reports: 50,000 Iraqi civilians dead.
