LOCALLY COORDINATED ACTION FROM COAST TO COAST It is clear that on the most important issues facing the American people is the War on Iraq. The popular will of the people is to end this war. If this was a government of, by and for the people, the NOvember 2006 election would be a referendum on Iraq, but the question of Iraq is not on the ballot. What shall we do in a situation where the majority sentiment has no real voice within the established political system?
The people will force the issue of the Iraq was onto the US political stage by taking to the streets to protests in cities throughout the US and Internationally.
Join the Central coast community in travelling up to San Francisco.
We will beging gathering at the Santa Cruz County Building at 7:30- We will have coffee, bagels and possibly other things to nibble on. People will be making signs and getting ready for a day of action in San Francisco.
We have a community bus available to take folks to and from the city. The cost is 15-20$ The bus will be leaving the county Building at 9:30. If you would like to secure a spot on the bus please email peaceinjustice [at] yahoo.com
We feel that the proximity to the elections makes this protest incredibly important and we hope caravan with as many of our Central Coast Community members as possible, so mark your calandar and spread the word.
