Food and Commercial Workers Picket Line at The San Francisco Centre
by RISE UP
Wednesday Sep 27th, 2006 7:13 PM
UFCW Local Unions will be establishing informational picket lines at the grand opening of the new San Francisco Centre at 5th St and Market St. on Thursday morning. The picketing is in opposition to the opening of the non-Union Bristol Farms grocery store within the Centre.
On Thursday, 28 September at 11:00 AM the United Food & Commercial Workers Unions will be setting up informational picket lines with the opening of the new Westfield/San Francisco Centre.

Their reason? Bristol Farms, a Southern California grocery operator, intends to open a non-Union store within the Centre.
Bristol Farms is entirely non-Union and refuses to accept card-check neutrality in efforts to organize its San Francisco employees into the UFCW.

Bristol Farms needs to understand that in this City, San Francisco, genuine fairness and justice means a Union contract. The picket line tomorrow will deliver that message.

Join the grocery workers on their line.
