universal health care leaps closer to law! speak up now
It is the first time both houses of California legislature have voted for Universal Health Care. The bill will now return to the State Senate for concurrence and will probably be put on Governor Schwarzenegger's desk by Wednesday September 1st.
Dear Friends:
Thanks to all of us, SB 840(Universal Health Care) passed the California Assembly in a historic vote yesterday. Yes!

We held our Legislature accountable and got them to do the right thing- pass a universal health care bill. Now we have to rise above the partisan divide and do what's best for all California- pass Senate Bill 840. We must now ask Governor Schwarzenegger to join us in rising above the partisanship.
It is time for him to sign Senate Bill 840(Universal Health Care) into law.
He needs to hear your voice to realize that we're holding him accountable.
Governor, step up and deliver Universal Health Care now! We're not interested in any more hot air out of Sacramento.
Here's his chance to go down in the history books as the first Governor to provide quality, affordable Universal Health Care and what's he going to do? Choose the people or the special interests? The choice is his.
Please take a moment to contact Governor Schwarzenegger to get him to do the right thing- Sign SB 840 into law.
1) Email Governor Schwarzenegger
2) Call Governor Schwarzenegger 916-445-2841 and urge him to sign SB 840 into law
3) Rally to Tell Governor To Sign SB 840 this Wednesday, August 30, 2006 @ 12 NOON
It is important that you send this letter to five of your good friends. As a grassroots movement, our strength is in our numbers. We've come a long way and now we must make the Governor aware of the huge support for Universal Health Care. You can do this by following the instruction after clicking the link at 1).
Thank you for helping heal California.
Sincerely,
Geoff Cunningham
