The Fa'Samoa Way
Samoan Community Development Center has done its job well for the last 10 years training Samooans that live in San Francisco to appreciate their culture. Kudos to Patsy M. Tito and her facilitators for doing such a wonderful job. Every year six weeks during the summer are set aside for the students to learn dances and other pertinent aspects of the Samoan culture. Then comes the big day and most every one enjoys the show.
The 10th Year Anniversary Celebration of the Samoan Community Development Center was held at Burton High School in San Francisco.
The students were trained for six weeks durning the summer holidays. It was a pleasure to watch the dances and especially the performances by the young Matais or Chiefs:
