Alexander Visits Santa Barbara, Ventura

by Stewart A. Alexander (stewartalexander4paf [at] comcast.net)
The Peace and Freedom Party Candidate for California Lieutenant Governor, Stewart Alexander, continues to take his campaign to the people; recently reaching tens of thousands in Santa Barbara, Ventura and Oxnard. Alexander says, “My message is simple, give 38 million Californians a voice in government to oppose the Iraq War, reduce gasoline prices, bringing back free college education, and ending Schwarzenegger’s term in office.”

Within the past few days Stewart Alexander, Candidate for California Lieutenant Governor, made several stops along the coast; including visits to Santa Barbara, Ventura and Oxnard. Alexander has been hitting the streets with drive and excitement and having fun with the crowds.

Alexander is the Peace and Freedom Party lieutenant governor candidate and he says his campaign is very grassroots, but affective. He is meeting and talking with voters on the street corners.

In some beach communities, his committee estimate, the campaign is reaching 30,000 to 50,000 people on a good day; and Alexander is speaking with hundreds of individuals face to face. Alexander says, “Campaigning this way is a lot of fun and the people I am meeting appreciate the personal contacts.”

The General Election is in November of this year and Alexander has been making stops in six southland counties; Ventura, Los Angeles, Riverside, San Bernardino, Orange and San Diego.

Alexander says people are expressing many concerns where ever he visits; at the top of the list is the Iraq War, gasoline prices, immigration, inflation and the cost of living.

Recently Schwarzenegger has made stops in Southern California; on these very hot days the governor has gotten mostly chilly receptions. “There are a lot of people not happy with the governor and they are quick to voice their opinions,” says Alexander.

For the next three months Alexander says his campaign will focus on reducing gasoline prices for Californians, opposing the Iraq War, reforming California prisons and the courts, bringing back free college education, and ending Schwarzenegger’s term in office.

When you see Alexander on a corner in your neighborhood, honk your horn or stop and say hello.
