Doha Round Collapses The Doha Round Collapses The collapse of world trade talks in Geneva provides an important opportunity for WTO members to inject some fresh thinking into the international trading system that better reflects the interests of working people around the world. Failure to agree on a development agenda has finally brought the Doha Round of the WTO to an end after five years of troubled negotiations. As WTO members begin to assign blame for the breakdown, the real winners may be the developing countries that were spared flawed policies that would have failed to meet their needs.
