We meet shortly after her call at ISF. Her younger sister Lakeda Tims, 19, petite 110 pd. youngster has just been assaulted by her boyfriend, who broke her nose on Quesada and Ingalls in the Bayview district, in front of her friend Amber.

Alerted to the incident, LaCresha rushes to the scene with her younger brother, 16, at 5:27 P.M... The police does not let them approach the ambulance where Lakeda lays, bleeding. Lacresha remains 4 feet away from an officer (they are four at the scene), holding her ID, states her place of employment, working with Bayview kids, and asks again to please let her see her sister.
"We cant let you see her, she is in police custody, she hit an officer"
("How would my little sister, 5'0'', 100 pd.., hit an officer? they are four officers, all White, 5'9'' to 6'2''?)
LaCresha writes down the police cars numbers 1261, 1235, 1237, and lets the officer know that Lakeda is the sister of Richard Tims, killed by PD 4 years ago. "Please just let me see her face ! Is she ALIVE? If you guys do not let me see her you will be added to Richard Tims case too ! I am writing down that you will not let me see her in the back of the ambulance!"
"Calm your voice down, you can't see her".
An older White officer with reflective eye glasses grabs LaCresha's wrist and pulls out handcuffs. "What are you doing?? You cannot arrest me !" ("he would not even look at my ID"). Another officer blurts to his colleague "Nuh-uh, don't do that". LaCresha Parker walks away: "I am sick and tired of this, I will be on the news tonight !"

6:15 PM. Lacresha calls her auntie at SFGH Emergency, and finds out that her little sister's nose is indeed broken, and her auntie is not allowed to go into the treatment room to comfort her. She calls Amber, who was with Lakeda at the time of the incident, and Amber joins us at ISF: "The officers watched Lakeda's boyfriend beat her and did not intervene ! I can testify that Lakeda NEVER TOUCHED ANY OFFICER ! There were at least 9 witnesses at the corner, and lots of folks looking on from their windows..."
(LaCresha): "Yeah, at my job I have seen the cops watch some of our kids fight and not even try to break it up".
(Amber): "After Lakeda was getting up from the ground, bleeding, one cop nonchalantly came over and told her boyfriend to "step aside". Step aside?? Is this time for mediation after a crime has been committed? I tried to defend Lakeda during the assault, but her boyfriend pulled a chunk of my hair out (I suffer from alopecia), the officers saw it, did not intervene, and would not even take a statement from me...I saw Lakeda's boyfriend punch her twice, then saw an officer twist her arms... I told them: Don't do this ! She is pregnant ! They handcuffed her, bleeding, eyes and nose swollen. She stated that she wanted to call her Dad and was told: Shut up and sit down! They did not let me approach the ambulance either. Oh by the way the narcs came by, asked what was going on and were told by the officers: You shut up and mind your business ! I still cannot believe that the police saw Lakeda's boyfriend punched her twice and just watched..."

7PM: LaCresha calls SFGH Emergency Room and gets confirmation that her little sister is in a treatment room, under police custody, isolated from her family...

LaCresha, her little brother and Amber leave ISF office, exhausted and worried to death. She has called Channel 7 and NBC 11, requesting an interview... She is filing with SF Office of Citizens Complaints.

As the stomach turns, Bayview SFPD sitcom... Two young AfriKan American female are brutalized before their very eyes, and they just watch, enjoying the show? In spite of a flock of witnesses, they outrageously lie about little Lakeda hitting one of them, handcuff her and throw her in an ambulance... Her loved ones are forbidden to approach and check to see if she is alive... The cops get into a brawl with the Narcs...
Are we dreaming? When will the genocidal nightmare come to an end? We shiver at the thought of what could have happened to Lakeda and Amber in the absence of witnesses... "We feared for our lives, we had to shoot" (Asa Sullivan, Oliver Lefiti, SFPD Killing Spree June 2006).

God save us all from Bayview "Peace Officers"...

On Sunday August 20, ISF is hosting "Enough is Enough", End Death Row on the Street &in the Correctional System, at 3 pm in the Children Playground behind Brett Hart Elementary School on Gillman in SF Candlestick Point. This is a collaborative cookout benefit for Justice4AsaSullivan, Justice4BigO (Oliver Lefiti) and the Bayview Campaign to End the Death Penalty. Families of SFPD Victims will gather to celebrate their loved ones' lives and mourn their death, building a powerful coalition to hold SFPD accountable for murdering Black &Brown People in San Francisco.
