West Nile Spraying - Community Activism Meeting
Announcement of community activism meeting to prevent West Nile spraying in Sacramento
West Nile spraying has begun in Sacramento county.
We're nearing the one-year anniversary of last summer's aerial spraying.
There is work that needs to be done now to prevent the current situation from spiralling out of control once again.
Organic Sacramento and No Spray Sacramento are hosting a community activism meeting on:
Wednesday, July 12th at 6:30 p.m. at the Sierra 2 Center (2741 24th St., Sacramento).
Join us for a productive meeting where we'll discuss:
*effective methods of preventing West Nile,
* why spraying to kill adult mosquitoes is a bad idea, and
* what you can do to hold our vector control district accountable and avoid widespread West Nile spraying
We'll be joined by a nationally recognized pest control expert and Kim Glazzard, the director of Organic Sacramento.
See you Wednesday!
