Toxic soil dumped by Carroll Street in the Bayview Hunters Point
This is not the first time we have to report to the SF Health Department and the Department of Toxics and Substances Control (DTSC) that some one is dumping toxic soil on land in the Bayview Hunters Point. On Carroll Street there is this parking lot used as a over flow when the parking lots linked to Candlestick are full. Innocent folks park and near by is the worse type of toxic soil and no one informs them of this hazardous material.
It happens all the time - people see a vacant lot and think they can dump toxic soil on it rather then send it to the facilities where they are supposed to go.
They do not want to ship the Class One Hazardous Material and take short cuts. By doing so they adversely impact thousands:
