Cris Ericson's ballot access petition for nomination signatures were accepted and certified by the Vermont Secretary of State Elections Division on friday, June 23, 2006. Cris Ericson will appear on the September 12, 2006 Primary Election in Vermont as a Republican candidate for United States Senator for Vermont. Cris Ericson, Marijuana Legalization Activist, ran as the Marijuana party affiliation candidate in 2004. http://makemarijuanalegal.com In 2004 "Cris Ericson - Marijuana", appeared on the official election ballot in Vermont twice. It is legal to be on the ballot for one state and one federal office. See Cris Ericson, MJP for U.S. Senate and for Governor of Vermont in the 2004 election results: http://www.times.com/ref/elections2004/2004VT.html This year in 2006 Cris Ericson was able to get enough ballot access petition signatures to get on the primary election ballot September 12, 2006 in Vermont for the Republican Party because she addressed issues that other Republican candidates ignored entirely or did not even mention on their web sites. Cris Ericson repeatedly checked and re-checked the web sites of her Republican opponents, Rich Tarrant and Greg Parke, to see if they had updated their websites to include the "orphaned" issues and they had not. Every day that Cris Ericson went out to collect petition signatures she asked voters how they felt about certain issues that Greg Parke and Rich Tarrant did not even mention on their web sites. So, it wasn't marijuana that got Cris Ericson on the Republican ballot, it was the indifference to OTHER issues, what Cris Ericson calls the "orphan" issues, that desperately needed a candidate to bring them to attention. Be certain to visit Cris Ericson's website so you can figure out for yourself which issues are so important to Republicans but so ignored by Rich Tarrant and Greg Parke that Cris was able to get enough ballot access petition signatures to get on the ballot as a Republican candidate for U.S. Senate 2006. Marijuana legalization is still on Cris's platform and on the first page of her web site. Cris Ericson believes that marijuana should be as legal as Vice President Dick Cheney's bullet firing hunting rifle and ice cold beer. Cris Ericson believes that marijuana should be as legal as wine and whiskey and hand guns. Out of state campaign contributions are legal by U.S.A. registered voters. Greg Parke has a million dollar campaign budget. Rich Tarrant has a 3 million dollar campaign budget. They may have triggered the "millionaire's" amendment so that Cris Ericson might now be legally allowed to receive $12,000 donation per person. Please call the Federal Elections Commission 1-800-424-9530. Cris Ericson currently has received so few donations that she is not required to file with the FEC.
