they are fixing to pass the flag amendment when they should be doing many other things this is like the bush patriot act which is anything but that impeach and execute the british agent bush Adoption of the Flag Desecration Amendment would: • Alter the Bill of Rights for the first time in American history by restricting the First Amendment • Trivialize the Constitution by setting the precedent that our most sacred founding document (and the First Amendment at that!) is open for editing for partisan political purposes • Add the United States to the short list of countries that have banned flag desecration, including Communist China, Cuba and Iraq under Saddam Hussein. • Take away the very freedom that the flag is supposed to represent by restricting political free speech, punishing dissent and coercing patriotism
