South Bay | Environment & Forest DefenseBAREC - 17 Acre Bay Area Research and Extension Center needs your help
The former UC Davis Ag Center (aka Bay Area Research and Extension Center) is owned by the State of California. The State is in the process of selling it to SummerHill Homes and the City of Santa Clara for housing developments. This is 17 acres of "Prime Farmland" that is agriculturally zoned...the last of its kind. Please get involved. ![]() barec-color_01.jpg We need your help. Please go to our web site. Please contact the local politicians and tell them not to develop this land. Our organization (along with thousands of other people and organizations) want to turn this back into a small urban farm, something that is greatly needed to balance this over-developed area.
