Video From 4/28 Sacramento Workers Memorial Day Rallly- Part 1

by California Coalition For Workers Memorial Day (lvpsf [at] igc.org)
This is the first segment of presentations made by injured workers fighting for justice at
the April 28, 2006 Workers Memorial Day Rally held at the state capitol in Sacramento
http://www.workersmemorialday.com/streaming.html

Streaming Media From Workers Memorial Day 2006

All video is encoded in RealVideo at a bit rate of 150Kbps which gives a smooth and fluid video stream while conserving bandwidth. The window size will be approximately 240 X 160 pixels in size which is quite adequate to view, even if you are using a high video screen resolution of 1024 X 768 pixels.

It is suggested that only viewers with at least a DSL or Cable connection, (T1 or T3 would be nice) view this video. If you only have a 56K dialup connection, your viewing experience won't be very pleasant as your computer will be constantly rebuffering.

Anita Blick
Anita was a dispatcher for the Police Department of the township of Atherton until she was injured on the job. When she could no longer work in her job, she vocationally rehabilitated herself in another vocation. The city decided that she didn't let her doctor know that she could drive once again and she served 60 days in county jail.

Barbara Clark
Barbara Clark was a successful delivery room nurse/nurse practicioner until she was injured at work. The self-insured employer, Adventist Health Systems has systematically refused to obey the orders of the Workers Compensation Court as well as the State Supreme Court and take care of her injuries despite numerous witnesses to her injury.

Sam Gold
Sam Gold is the director of Californians Injured At Work, one of the oldest and largest injured worker advocacy organizations in California. He also is producer and host of the "Injured On The Job" television program which is the only television program in California dedicated to advocating for injured workers.

Larry Nign
Southern California injured worker Larry Nign has been fighting the state owned State Compensation Insurance Fund for well over 10 years, When faced with a 100% payout in his case, SCIF decided to stick it to him and weasel out of their obligation. What Larry has found out about their shady business practices is just unbelieveable.

Dina Padilla
Dina Padilla is president of VOICES-B.E.S.T. and has been advocating for California injured workers for well over 10 years. Dina was an employee of Kaiser Permanente Medical Group until she got hurt at work and has been fighting for her constitutionally guaranteed rights ever since.
