After a dismal experience with privatization, the residents of Felton, CA, near Santa Cruz, are working to bring their water utility under local, democratic control. Having won the support of 75% of Felton's residents, the local citizens' group Felton FLOW (Friends of Locally Owned Water) has taken their fight all the way to the California Public Utilities Commission (PUC), which regulates water utilities.

Unfortunately, the PUC is threatening to make it more and more difficult for ordinary people to have a voice in the future of their water services. This Thursday, Felton FLOW needs your support to defend the people of California's democratic right to demand the best possible service.
