DELEGATION AND PICKET AT SF CHRONICLE TO PROTEST FAULTY IMMIGRANTS RIGHTS REPORTING
Corner of 5th Street and Mission Street in San Francisco
4 p.m. The May 1st Coalition for Immigrants Rights asks the SF Chronicle to give accurate report on May 1 march in San Francisco, not the ridiculous estimate they printed of 30,000 people. A delegation of the May 1st steering committee will meet with SF Chronicle managing editor Steve Proctor and other editors to present evidence of the real size of the protest more than 200,000 people.
4:30–6 p.m. Members of the community and immigrants rights supporters are encouraged to meet outside the Chronicle at the corner of 5th & Mission to hear a report from the May 1st Coalition about how the Chronicle editors respond. If they respond positively and agree to carry an accurate report we will thank them. If they respond negatively, we will hold a picket calling for truthful reporting of our community's struggle for justice and equality. Please spread the word!
Initiated by the May 1st Coalition for Immigrants Rights (http://www.primerodemayo.org) or 415-574-5422.
