Bay Air Area Quality Management defies standards and permits particulates to kill folks
The Bay Area Air Quality Management defies standards and permits particualtes to kill innocent children all over San Francisco and the Bay Area. Again and again in the year 2006 it has failed to collect empirical data to help the constituents of San Francisco. In the Southeast Sector the particulate level has reached a standard where our children are dying and others all suffer from the worst cancer and other killer diseases. BAAQMD has failed us and it is time that they are taken to be adjudicated before the highest Courts and put in their place.
I testified before a Board of BAAQMD recently and the proceeding were a JOKE. These Racist so called judges care less for the constituents of San Francisco and more for those with money and clout.
Even as some very educated Intervenors try to convince the judges that it is wrong to place 3 Combustion Turbines spewing the wost particulates in the Southeast Sector - the judges did not give a hoot. All White guys totally made up their mind because for sure big money is behind this deal.
The 3 Combustion Turbines cannot be placed on Public Trust Land that is SF Port Authortiy land.
They cannot be placed breaking any mandates that govern the Burton Act.
The 3 Combustion Turbines do not meet any Maritime Uses.
Yet, the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission is defying the Environmentalists and wants to place the 3 Combustion Turbines at Pier 80.
San Francisco purports that it is a Green City but it embraces Particulates!
