East Bay | Anti-WarThousands in Walnut Creek march against Iraq War and occupation
Walnut Creek, California (March 18, 2006) - Nearly three thousand people marched through downtown Walnut Creek today to protest three years of unjust war and occupation. The march was by far the largest anti-war mobilization in the collective memory of this suburban city an hour east of San Francisco. Despite the area’s more conservative reputation, marchers were greeted by a constant chorus of car horns voicing support. War without end? Not in our name. ![]() 1-peace-possible.jpg
