March 16: KTVU & KPIX reported on today's Oakland DEA bust. It
was the top story on KPIX, which billed it as a pot candy factory.
The DEA displayed a smorgasbord of goodies with cute labels like
"Munchy Way", "Keefy Kat", "Trippy Peanut Butter," "Joint Soda",
and "Pot Tarts." Agents emphasized that kids might mistakenly
consume them and accidentally overdose.

KPIX called it the DEA's "biggest bust yet" in this district. They
claimed the organization raked in millions of dollars; employees
wore lab coats and punched time clocks. Thousands of plants were
seized along with a few guns and lots of cash. KPIX showed a bag with
$150K in it. The investigation began on a tip last October...
