This is the "Dubai Deal" the President approves of and that Republicans and Democrats are fighting to stop because it will destroy national security.
The "President" of UAE is "elected" by seven persons, the members of the Federal Supreme Council who are the 7 emirate rulers. There is no suffrage, no one else gets to vote.
There are no political parties. There are no political leaders. Their northern neighbor is Iran. They do not make their treaties with other countries public. Some of the September 11, 2001 hijackers came from UAE. The federal court system in UAE applies to all emirates except Dubai!!!!!!
Isn't it clearly an illegal conflict of interest to nominate an employee of a foreign government to be the Maritime Administrator for the government of the U.S.A.?
