Mark Weisbrot on Latin America and the World Social Forum

Media Matters features Bob McChesney in conversation with a variety of guests about the media.

The guest this week was economist Mark Weisbrot, co-Director of the Center for Economic and Policy Research. He received his Ph.D. in economics from the University of Michigan, is co-author, with Dean Baker, of Social Security: The Phony Crisis, and has written numerous research papers on economic policy. Mr Weisbrot talks about recent political developments in Latin America, and the World Social Forum, from which he has just returned.
