But first the good news: There are tens of thousands of social justice activists here from all over the world. OK, primarily from Latin America, but there are also significant numbers from Europe, and North America.

The opening march yesterday, was beautiful! Tens of thousands demonstrated against neo-imperialism and for another possible world. I marched with a very lively contingent of Palestinians who quickly became the center of attention for the entire march. Amongst those who marched in this contingent were a group of Muslims from Colombia who are participating in the forum. To the best of my knowledge, there is no organized Muslim group represented from the United States and/or Canada. A pathethic situation given that US Muslims love to talk up the supposed six million Muslims who live there.

The huge size of the forum makes the event extremely difficult to effectively organize. Yet, now that we have had six of these, one would think that at least some of the issues could have been addressed. There are several concerns to consider:
