California Death Chamber Violates Americans With Disabilities Act
California heads for a low point in human rights and human decency
The State of California & local governments in California are always making a big deal about businesses and public places being handicapped accessible. That is good. So if that applies to everything else, shouldn’t the State of California’s death chamber, the site of the state’s ritual killings, also be required to meet the standards of the Americans With Disabilities Act (ADD)?
As if now stands, a person who is blind, deaf and cannot walk will be dragged or carried into the death chamber in order for the state to carry out its bloody business. Imagine that happening in a public place or business.
There is no doubt that the state of California is a major hypocrite. On one hand the state is always babbling about preserving human life, infant care and other great human agendas. On the other hand, it holds people in a cell for 25 or 30 years and kills them.
California is really treading thin ice as far as being seen as anything but a callous murderer of an incapacitated human being. What are our standards of decency anyway?
